Moss Wood 2016 Pinot Noir – James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au
I have never been an admirer of Moss Wood’s Pinot Noir, mainly because of the lack of varietal character when grown in Margaret River. However, I must bow and acknowledge that this is among the best yet with its delicately pitched small red fruits set in a gently but persistently savoury backdrop. I know its admirers will cellar all or some of the wine, but I would drink it now while those red fruits still shine.
