The 2021 Ribbon Vale is the first release of a Chardonnay from the Ribbon Vale Vineyard. The Moss Wood house style (with regard to Chardonnay) is opulent, powerful, complex and toasty. This creamy, nutty wine certainly nods in that direction—it has plushness and intensity, but all of it couched in taut acidity and really great (and firm) phenolic structure. An impressive first release from a great and improving vineyard.
