Moss Wood 2011 Chardonnay- Gary Walsh – The Wine Front
Have a swag of reviews for Moss Wood to publish including a surprisingly good 2009 Margaret River Pinot Noir, meanwhile here’s a Chardonnay that will find many admirers. Melon, creamy cashew and spice oak, some sweet lemon/lime and grapefruit. A little warm and glossy, and perhaps a little loose, but with a balanced acid core and a mealy spicy finish of good length. Bigger style, plenty of savoury barrel ferment flavour and work, but a much better wine than last vintage to my tastes.
