Moss Wood 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon – Tyson Stelzer, tysonstelzer.com
Brambles, black and red currants, leaf and coffee are the defining characters of a tight and refined bouquet. The palate opens out into similar fruits with herbaceous, leafy undertones, fine, firm tannins and tight acidity. The French Oak plays a supporting role behind the fruit. This is a tightly-wound, black-currant-fruited cabernet of refinement and class. It may not be the greatest Moss Wood ever, but don’t let that stop you! Excellent wine! Best drinking around 2010-2015. Like it.
