Black cherry colour. Ripe, very dark fruit. Rich and spicy and powerful, still so young. Dense, compact with firm spicy tannins. Strong family likeness with the Pinot 2010 even though the varieties are of course completely different. Fine, tightly furled tannins and nowhere near ready for drinking (in Jan 2014). Not a hint of MR’s leafiness here.
