Dark crimson with blackish notes. Much more winning and ripe than the Ribbon Vale bottling. Broad and creamy on the nose with real sweetness as it hits the palate and then it tightens up on the end. Very lightly minty notes with real freshness on the end and excellent balance and more obvious fruit than the Ribbon Vale bottling, but clearly there is a long way to go yet. Tingling cassis on the finish. Dense. 17+
