(barrel-fermented and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 28% of them new): Vivid yellow-gold. Pear skin, melon, orange zest, jasmine and tarragon on the highly perfumed nose. Juicy and precise, offering vibrant citrus and orchard fruit flavors underscored by a powerful vein of minerality. Becomes spicier and smokier with air, finishing with superb energy and firm mineral cut. I really like the blend of richness and tension here. 93 Points
