The 2022 vintage was on the warm side for Margaret River which has given this Moss Wood Semillon more upfront drinkability than usual. There is underlying power and richness of flavour while retaining good focus with aromas of melon and kiwi fruit plus touches of lanolin over a core of lemony citrus. It’s then quite textural but with an attractive freshness and vitality also woven through the palate providing backbone and definition. You could drink it now but also don’t be surprised if it is still drinking well in ten years time.
