Quite the ‘classic’ bouquet of a Bordeaux blend with its New World twist – generous and masculine bouquet of fresh and poached black and red fruits with a strong reminder of oak – toasted wood, brown spices and baked vanilla; medium+ complexity and quite forward. On the palate – dry and immediate full of texture and flavor – spice laden dark berry fruits, medium+ oak, tobacco, bitter chocolate and savory plum; there is a little earthyness with a sweet brown soil suggestion; medium+ acid, medium++ tannins, balanced, still developing yet quite quite approachable now; medium+ length. Delightful!
