Moss Wood 2010 Amy’s – Paul Foster – The Wine Society
“Amy’s is elegance itself and a declaration of what Margaret River does best. It may not be Moss Wood’s number one red but the wine a shining star. A blend of varieties cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, malbec and merlot it follows the style of traditional Bordeaux and has all the poise of a supermodel parading the catwalk. There are complex black fruit flavours with liquorice and gum leaf, too, in a deep, long and lingering palate. Some cedar, some spice and a texture that’s silky to start but suitably grippy to finish. Good for up to eight years”
